    Coconut, Thai eggplant, sweet basil. Made with our family's curry paste, pounded weekly.

    Wok-tossed rice noodles, tamarind, palm sugar, peanut, lime. Add shrimp or chicken.

A kitchen, a family

Khao Gang is what my mother calls eating well, in Thai.

A small family kitchen on Whiskey Road. The curries, the wok, and the front of the room are run by the same family. Most of our recipes come from a hand-written notebook carried from northern Thailand a generation ago.

Aiken doesn't have many Thai kitchens. We're trying to be a good one , patient, honest, and unafraid of garlic.

Pickup is easiest by phone.

Call ahead, drive over, the bag will be hot when you get here. Most orders go out in twenty minutes; a Friday night might take thirty.
